Do you have any questions?
The quality of your listing is critical: the more complete and honest your information, the more and better bids you will receive. Present the vehicle transparently - all known defects and damages must be visible in photos and/or mentioned in writing.
Auctions start at 15:00, Monday to Friday. Auctions that begin between Monday and Thursday run for 24 hours and end at 15:00 the following day. Auctions starting on Friday run until 15:00 on Monday to include the weekend. No auctions start on Saturdays or Sundays.
Auctions on AutoScout24 Direct can only be created by private sellers.
With AutoScout24 Direct we offer you a quick and easy way to sell your vehicle. Since the sale is made directly to dealers who also want to make a margin, the price achieved may be slightly lower than if it were sold privately via an advertisement. You benefit from an immediate sales process without negotiations and without the hassle of finding a buyer.
The value of your vehicle is determined through a combination of market data, comparative prices of similar models and the individual details of your car. Our algorithm takes into account factors such as make, model, year, mileage and condition of the vehicle to calculate a realistic market value.
Once your vehicle is listed in the auction, dealers have one working day to submit their bids. If you list your vehicle between Monday and Thursday, the auction will start at 15:00 on the next working day and end at 15:00 the following day. Auctions starting on Friday run until 15:00 on Monday, giving dealers the full weekend to place bids. No auctions start on Saturdays or Sundays. After the auction ends, you’ll see the highest bid and have two days to accept or reject it.
Only verified and registered dealers who are registered with AutoScout24 Direct can take part in the auction. These dealers have a great interest in purchasing high-quality vehicles for their inventory and therefore offer fair prices.
Once the auction has ended and you have received the highest bid, you have 48 hours to accept or reject the offer. If this deadline passes without a decision, the offer will automatically be rejected. Only if you accept the offer will you be charged a one-time auction fee of CHF 99. Payment is made immediately afterwards – by credit card or TWINT, securely and conveniently.
If you accept an offer, you will receive the buyer's contact details, and the buyer will receive yours. You can then arrange the handover of the vehicle. We provide some documents (sales contract, checklist, etc.) to simplify the transaction. Upon acceptance, you pay a one-time auction fee of CHF 99.–. This is payable immediately and can be conveniently paid by credit card or TWINT – only if the sale is successful.
Yes, a contract is necessary. We will provide you with a pre-filled purchase contract, which you can then use with the buyer to complete the purchase.
You can change your mind at any time until you accept an offer. However, once you accept an offer, the sale is binding. If you reject the highest bid or the 48-hour deadline expires, your vehicle will remain in your possession.
After accepting an offer, the dealer will contact you to arrange a time to pick up the vehicle. The dealer takes care of the collection and all associated formalities, so there is no additional effort for you.
AutoScout24 Direct only works with reputable and verified dealers to avoid such situations. If a problem still arises, our customer service will help you clarify it and work to find a quick solution. Our goal is to make the sales process as safe and smooth as possible for you.
If you reject a dealer’s highest bid, you won’t incur any costs. However, your current auction will end and you won’t receive any further offers. Please note: if you don’t respond within 48 hours, the offer will be automatically declined. If you’re not satisfied with the highest bid, you can submit a counter-offer (price proposal) to the dealer. If no agreement is reached, or if you reject a revised offer from the dealer, you can simply relist your vehicle and start a new auction.
